(Chief Executive Officer)
Ruth has spent her entire working life in Health and Social Care, but what cannot be seen from her career journey is the fact that she has been involved with the credit union movement since 1976. Her parents – along with other family and friends – were instrumental in developing the credit union movement in Scotland and has been an active member of one of the oldest credit unions in he country since then. Her career choices and core value base have been driven by her belief in people and the strength of communities, and hugely influenced by the hope and collective achievements she witnessed in those early years. Ruth views herself as an individual whose core personal values resonate with those of the NHS Credit Union, and is acutely aware of the challenges facing the communities and credit unions in Scotland and beyond, now and in the coming years.
