I am retired from the NHS where I worked in Payroll for 39 years. During that time I saw many changes in technology which shaped how we worked. I have seen similar changes in my time as a credit union director which in the long term will see improvement for the benefit of our members. Part of my role as director has been the involvement of investments which is both challenging and rewarding. The challenging part is getting the best rate available while ensuring that our ethical values are met and the rewarding part is seeing a fair return for the investments. I enjoy working with the other directors to bring about improved policies which gives the credit union it guidelines and ensure we meet regulatory requirements. My leisure time involves golf (frustrating at times), curling, photography and supporting Dumbarton football club (someone has to).
